AC/DC join Ted Nugent, Blue Oyster Cult, Journey and Cheap Trick for their second ever appearance at "Day On The Green," promoter Bill Graham's famous long-running concert series presented at the Oakland Coliseum Stadium. The September 2nd show is the fifth and final "Day On The Green" of 1978 and AC/DC's second.

September 2nd 1978 AC/DC performed at the Bill Graham concert series dubbed "Day On The Green" at Oakland Stadium in Oakland, California to a sold out crowd of over 57,000. The outdoor festival concert would be AC/DC's second appearance there, and would be the final "Day On The Green" show for 1978. AC/DC performed along with Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick, Journey, and Blue Oyster Cult. AC/DC also performed at '78's "Day On The Green" #3 on July 23, 1978 with Aerosmith, Foreigner, Pat Travers, and Van Halen. AC/DC would perform at the "Day On The Green" again in 1979.
