I've always loved "Let There Be Rock" and it's film clip in a Church. . Does anyone know what Church was used? It look very much like one of those old Congregational Churches to me with the Pulpit in front of the Organ. Many of those churches did I go into in Melbourne in the 1960's to record and photograph the organs for historical purposes.
The Church could also have been Presbyterian or Methodist. Of course they all now are Uniting Churches of Australia

Great question! LTBR was recorded in a church in Sydney's Surrey Hills known as the Kirk Gallery. I heard that the vicar didn't find out until after the recording what it was used for, and wasn't very happy about it. Also Bon being Bon jumped off the altar and sprained his ankle. Apparently Bon also bought a bible and studied the Book of Genesis for the lyrics. I don't know what denomination the church was, maybe someone from Sydney would know?
BTW - welcome!

Thanks for your quick reply. No I will have to do some research about that Church. Judging from the name "Kirk Gallery" I sould say that it would have been a Presbyterian Church - "Pressbutton" is the nic-name. I might be able to find out who built that Pipe Organ. I have access to historical records about nearly every Pipe Organ imstalled in Australia from Colonial days.
Fancy Bon buying a bible to read Genesis. I am a bedraggled refugee from the "Holy" Roman Catholic Church, n o a proud Atheist. I know more about the bible than most Christians
BTW, I consider Angus one of the World's greatest guitarists.
