ok. so ive been contemplating a permanent declaration of my love for this band etched on my bod for many years. never been able to decide what exactly i want it to look like tho. so last time i had a tattoo, i had something i was sure about.
ive decided im gonna do it now , but still cant decide what to have . although i want it on my foot & i do know that! any one got any ideas to compare with mine( but defo not angus cartoon) lol!

I wouldn't want a cartoon either....looks a bit tacky when you're 60

You could ask the tattoo artist for opinion, you could have one with the lightening bolt forming a chain around your ankle or Angus/Gibson SG. Knowing you I think you'd actually like something w/Brian also.

Alternatively consider something arabesque/decorative combining the bolt and logo. Ultimately it depends on the size you want it to be though.

i have 2 gibson sgs x over with the music notes 4 back in black above
and long live rock &roll underneath in fancy letters

think a small cannon with ac/dc above is an idea
on the side of your leg/calf not 2 high
black and grey colour doesnt fade/ as much as colour
mine is on my upper arm

heat... glad you said that bout having something decorative combining bolt & logo, as that was along the lines ive been mulling over, & also perhaps incorporating horns into the pattern. will probly end up asking tattooist to design something like this & see what he comes up with. the tattoo i have on my shoulder is very arabesque, so it would be nice to keep along the same lines. probly looking at about 4 inches by 2 along side / top of foot.
hanger... your tattoo sounds great , love the long live rock n roll bit. the cannon is a good idea especially since the song FTATR means such alot to me, & it would be black anyway. not so keen on coloured. cheers guys. will let you know how i get on!

hi guys¬¬¬ sorry havnt been on for a while, for lots of reasons. guess what! finally got that tattoo.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, after 30 years they are finally etched forever on my foot. ... how cool is my tattooist?he actually put the family jewels dvd on for me while it was done & he was singing along to bon while he did it!!! i was well impressed, it really helped because it hurt like hell... even worse than child birth! he told me he is into really really heavy metal stuff but his dad brought him up on DC & he knew loads bout them. im glad someone who appreciates dc designed & did my tattoo because it means alot to me.

Congratulations Melt! The tattoo artist proved he had excellent taste by putting on the Family Jewels DVD....btw.....I fogot to tell you that tattoos on the feet are notoriously painful....probably one of the most sensitive areas!

So what does it look like? and what size is it, by the sounds of it must be a big one???? can you post a picture here or online? About time you got yourself a gallery here anyways!

soon as i can i will post a pic! its about 4 x 3 inches on the front of foot so very noticable!!!! healing up nicely now. i absolutely love it, worth the pain but god it was like being tortured. i know a bloke covered in tattoos but when he had one on his foot he actually cried. the skin is so thin on your foot, i swear it felt like he was chopping my foot with an axe!!! & its also the place that takes longest to heal. i ve really had to look after it well. gallery hint has been noted!!!
