AC/DC wins Headline Performance of the Year at UK Festival Awards

AC/DC have won Headline Performance of the Year for their performance at the Download Festival on June 11th 2010. The performance, during the second European leg of their Black Ice World Tour, had been the first time they had made an appearance at the famous venue since 1991. The performance then, which took place on August 17 1991, was recorded and released the following year (October 27 1992) on 'Live' and on DVD in 2003.

A crowd of 90,000+ saluted the band upon their return to Donington.

The glitzy ceremony took place at indigO2 in London last night. Here is the list of winners:
