Happy Birthday - Cliff Williams
AC/DC’s Cliff Williams celebrates his birthday today! Born on this day in 1949, Cliff is an English bassist who had previously played in the bands ‘Home’ and ‘Bandit’ through the early to mid 1970’s before joining AC/DC.
Cliff joined AC/DC in June 1977 and made his studio debut on the band's 1978 album, Powerage.
Cliff was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame along with the other members of AC/DC in 2003.
Recently, Cliff revealed to VH1 Classic Rock Nights what it takes to create amazing music:
“What is it, keep it simple stupid is the expression? And we do do that, we try and create a good groove and I think it takes a while to get that good feel. We’re not a complex music band. As you know, we’re not like Yes or anything like that. You know, you’ve just gotta have it in the right pocket.”
