"Let There Be Rock" DVD to be released in January 2011

“Let There Be Rock”, the AC/DC concert documentary that was filmed December 1979 at the Pavillion De Paris, will receive its long-awaited DVD release in January 2011. Eddie Trunk, the co-host of the VH1 Classic television program “That Metal Show”, was interviewed about the band’s impact for one of the DVD’s bonus features. He writes on his blog, “[The company which is releasing the DVD is] doing some cleanups to the audio and video and making it as high-def as the source will allow.” He adds, “I can tell you I have an advance and it looks and sounds great, but they are making it even better!”

  1. I saw that last concert in Phila. 1979 in August .They opened for Ted Nugent. I was right in front, and when AC/DC came on that stage, they were awesome. Bon had the greatest voice ever, and I never saw anybody play guitar like Angus! I did'nt even care if Ted Nugent came on after listening to them.Best concert ever, and I remember Angus doing a striptease, and mooning us all, I don't think he has ever done that again that I know of. They will always be my favorite band. Luv you all!

  2. I’m extremely thrilled about this news! I have been surviving on my VHS to DVD copy for decades. The copy of the soundtrack that came with *I think* bonfire was welcome. The entire package re-mastered for High Definition and Dolby is even MORE welcome!
